Peer Review: A Queer Publishing Roundtable Presented by WUSSY MAG and the Bureau (in person & live-streaming)

February 10 @ 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Since 2014, WUSSY Mag, a DIY queer arts & culture organization and biannual print publication based in Atlanta, GA, has been a platform for emerging artists, subversive humor, community action, and unhinged digital discourse. In collaboration with the Bureau and their current exhibition Wussies Networking: Some Queer Sensibilities, curated by Tannon Reckling, WUSSY presents a live panel of writers, artists, editors, and organizers working through and beyond the precarious landscape of contemporary independent queer publishing, together in conversation about gay zine culture, collective resilience, industry gossip, the power of smut, and the future of print media.

Featuring:

Mikelle Street, Freelance Writer & Editor

Kamikaze Jones, Art Editor, WUSSY Mag

Sarah Burke, Editor-in-Chief, Them

Tyler Akers, Art Editor, Gayletter

Whitney Mallett, Editor-in-Chief, The Whitney Review of New Writing

Moderated by Rachel Garbus (Editor-in-Chief, WUSSY Mag)
