Friendship and Feud: Zora Neale Hurston and Langston Hughes (in person event & live-streaming)

African-American scholar James Wright presents an account of the friendship and the feud between two of the leading figures of the Harlem Renaissance, writers Zora Neale Hurston and Langston Hughes. The event will also feature readings from Laurence Holder‘s play Zora and Langston (1998).

 
 

This event will take place in person at the Bureau of General Services—Queer Division, on the second floor (room 210) of The LGBT Community Center, 208 W. 13th St., NYC, 10011.

Registration is not required. Seating is first come, first served.

Suggested donation $10 to benefit the Bureau’s work.

All are welcome to attend, with or without donation.
