York artists Deborah Bright\, Tiffany Dugan and Rafael Santiago \nArt historian David Evans Frantz wrote: “Collage perverts the social\, political and cultural specificity of images\, promiscuously excerpting and recontextualizing them without regard.” \n\n\n\nIt is something that LGBTQ+ people do every day. \n\nGathering and cutting\, gluing and pasting\, unearthing imagery\, analog and digital\, finding their place\, these artists source answers through a time-tested technique that other queer artists have employed for decades. \nRead more about the exhibit\, which is on view September 10 – November 30 2026\, and join us for the reception to celebrate the artists\, curator\, and this exceptional queer work.
