Her fiction has won a California Arts Council Fellowship in Literature\, an American Library Association Stonewall Award\, the Arts & Letters Fiction Prize\, a Pushcart nomination\, a Yaddo Fellowship\, and two National Science Foundation Artists & Writers Fellowships. Her story collection\, LAVA FALLS\, is forthcoming this fall. Bledsoe lives in the Bay Area where she spends as much time as possible kayaking in the bay\, as well as hiking and cycling in the hills. \n  \n  \n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \n  \n  \nA novelist and critic\, Christopher Bram is the author of nine novels\, including GODS AND MONSTERS\, which was made into the movie starring Ian McKellen and Lynn Redgrave. He has written nonfiction for a broad range of publications\, including Out\, the Huffington Post\, and Architectural Digest. Bram’s book of essays\, MAPPING THE TERRITORY\, and his books SURPRISING MYSELF\, HOLD TIGHT\, IN MEMORY OF ANGEL CLARE\, and GOSSIP were reissued by Open Road Books in 2013. He was a 2001 Guggenheim fellow and winner of the Bill Whitehead Award for Lifetime Achievement. His recent books include EMINENT OUTLAWS: THE GAY WRITERS WHO CHANGED AMERICA (Twelve\, 2012) and THE ART OF HISTORY: UNLOCKING THE PAST IN FICTION AND NONFICTION (Graywolf\, 2016). \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
